Job Description:
A-Line Staffing is seeking a Retail Pharmacist to fill a contract position in Syracuse, NY. This role involves providing pharmacy services, dispensing medications, offering counseling to patients, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. This is a full-time position with guaranteed hours and a competitive hourly rate.
Retail Pharmacist Schedule & Location:
- Location: Syracuse, NY (13206 )
- Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week
- Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (Full week availability)
Retail Pharmacist Salary/Wage:
- Rate: $50.00 to $65.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Retail Pharmacist Duties:
- Dispense prescription medications to customers accurately and efficiently.
- Provide counseling on the safe use of medications and over-the-counter products.
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain pharmacy records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor and manage inventory of medications and supplies.
Retail Pharmacist Required Qualifications:
- Current, active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of New York.
- Previous experience in retail pharmacy or a related setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices, drug interactions, and patient safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- All pharmacists must have proof of an accredited APhA or ACPE 20-hour immunization certificate.
Retail Pharmacist Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform tasks that require repetitive movements (e.g., typing, dispensing medications).
Retail Pharmacist Education:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
