Staff Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $60-$63 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
- The required availability for this position is Morning or Night Shift
- Morning shift is 9am-5:30 + every other weekend
- Evening shift is 3pm -11:30pm + every other weekend
- Verification for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders. Check for content and accuracy of all medication packaging and labeling including emergency drug kits and IV medications
- Maintain resident database to include appropriate current and past medical history, appropriate clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication (including OTC and home remedies)
- Assist in the proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances; assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs
- Work with appropriate Staff Pharmacist in reconciling Controlled Substances perpetual inventory as required by management for compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide clinical expertise by responding to drug-related questions and concerns initiated by internal staff and external customers
- Document all communication with physicians, nurses, other members of the healthcare team, and patients/residents and their family members in the medical record
- Preparation and/or supervision of all sterile IV drug products or solutions
- Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during rotation and as required by management
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
- Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
- Responsible for the flow of work and appropriate outcomes
Staff Pharmacist Requirements
- Current Pharmacist license active and in good standing in the state of practice
- Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in an acute-care setting or one (1) year experience as a production pharmacist preferred (not required).
- Bachelor’s degree or Pharmacy Doctorate from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- Experience and knowledge base of intravenous admixtures services and intravenous therapy desired.
- Management experience preferred
