Job Description
Title: Site Reliability Engineer IV
Location: Charlotte, NC (3-days onsite, 2-days remote Hybrid schedule)
Note: This is a W2 contract role – C2C and 3rd party candidates will NOT be considered
The Site Reliability Engineer will:
- Plan and execute configuration changes to the application and infrastructure
- Respond to emergencies and other incidents, and investigate issues in cloud systems
- Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and operations teams, and partner with development teams to improve services
- Participate in system design consulting and capacity planning
- Develop automation to push toward automatic systems and services
Position Qualifications:
- Experience leading incident response and supporting application teams
- Experience with public cloud platforms, such as AWS and/or API Gateways
- Experience using DevOps tools and technologies, such as GitLab, and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools, such as Terraform
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, and/or Splunk
- Strong troubleshooting skills, and experience building and enhancing observability using monitoring tools
- A proactive approach to observability maturity, identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement for observability
- Experience using Source Version Control (SVC), such as Git
- Experience with Blameless Postmortems
- Experience providing developer feedback for enhancing logging, runbooks, and addressing technical debt
- Experience promoting observability best practices
- Experience developing APIs, Microservices, or Frontend preferred
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other relevant technical field
