Job Title: Social Worker – MAT Program Specialist
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Training: 3-week training in Elizabethtown, PA; SW can go home on weekends. Will stay in dormitory onsite during work week. Will be reimbursed for travel back and forth on Monday and Friday.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Contract Type: Long-term, ongoing assignment with no set end date
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay: $26 per hour
- Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, optical, life, and short-term disability insurance after 90 days.
- 401(k): Company match available for full-time employees with one year of service.
Role Overview:
As a Social Worker for the MAT Program, you will provide counseling, consultation, and documentation support to participants considering Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Working within the framework of AOD (Alcohol and Other Drug) treatment, you’ll assess needs, conduct psychosocial evaluations, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to support participants’ treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement social work, counseling, and case management services to help individuals achieve improved social and personal functioning.
- Assess psychosocial strengths and needs to determine eligibility for services.
- Support participants in problem recognition and behavior adjustment strategies.
- Maintain case files, updating progress toward treatment plan goals.
- Develop and document discharge, transfer, and aftercare plans.
- Collaborate with facility staff and external agencies on treatment and discharge plans.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Social Work or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience: 1+ year in social work, behavioral/mental health, substance abuse, or drug/alcohol treatment.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
