Social Worker Hours

• Shift is 8am-4pm
• Hiring for multiple correctional facilities located in Mercer, Waymart, Houtzdale, Waynesburg, and Marienville
• 3 weeks of training in Elizabethtown PA. Chosen applicants will be provided a dorm to stay in and will be reimbursed for travel.

Social Worker Compensation

• The pay for this position is $25.00-29.00 per hour based on experience and location
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Social Worker Responsibilities

• Assist with MAT referrals in the community, including setting up and scheduling appointments for medication and treatment
• Ensure needs, benefits, and services are obtained in accordance with assigned individuals’ treatment plans
• Track and update spreadsheet/database on everyone
• Attend weekly Vivitrol Conference Call, and other meetings as needed
• Document all contacts in appropriate systems
• Meet with reentrants with positive urine drug screens to assess and refer to treatment
• Meet with Reentrants in the SCI, BCC, Parole Offices, and/or Treatment providers as necessary
• Communicate all treatment planning to Center Staff, SCI Staff, and/or Parole staff
• Subscribe to the MAT/AOD Treatment framework and policies and procedures of the DOC
• Implement and provide social work, counseling, and case management services to individuals to enhance their social functioning and to help them attain a more satisfactory social, economic, or physical adjustment
• Assess offenders’ psychosocial strengths, weaknesses, and social work service’s needs, and eligibility for services
• Counsel utilizing various treatment modalities
• Discuss assigned individuals’ psychosocial assessments and family history in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings

Social Worker Requirements

• A Bachelor’s in Social Worker or Human Service field required.
• One year of experience required
