Title: Software Engineer

Location: Sparks, MD

Note: This is a W2 contract role; C2C & 3rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered

As a Software Engineer, you will work on production software controlling state of the art robotic systems to automate medical diagnostic instruments. You will work on current technologies and work on high performing Agile/Scrum teams. Assigned work includes full lifecycle tasks, such as software design, development, unit testing, deployment, debugging, testing, and field support. The ideal candidate for this role must be self-motivated, positive, collaborative, and accountable to working as a team to deliver on commitments. This team practices Agile/Scrum, supports the full software development lifecycle, and adheres to a Quality Management System.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently to specify, plan, design, develop, test, and support software components, as assigned
• Work with teams to establish necessary requirements specifications and test plans for software product validation
• Contribute to project schedule generation, including scope of work, duration of tasks, and order of execution
• Translate requirements into design and implementation of well-structured and documenting software components
• Present/participate in design reviews and code inspections
• Implement solutions to assigned defect issues
• Anticipate system faults, failure modes, and unusual events, making sure the software adequately mitigates identified risks
• Develop automated unit test cases to assure software meets the design criteria
• Monitor work progress against schedule commitments and report progress to leadership in a timely fashion, including when work will not be completed according to schedule milestones

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years' work experience with GUI development; Angular
• A minimum of 5 years’ work experience using C#
• A minimum of 5 years’ work experience with C# - ASP.NET MVC development
• A minimum of 3 years’ work experience with MS SQL server, entity framework, database design, and access
• A minimum of 2 years’ work experience with JavaScript Frameworks; Angular 2+, Bootstrap, and JQuery
• Experience with C# ASP.NET MVC development
• Experience with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience with Visual Studio
• Demonstrated positive work ethic, with an action-orientation focused on results and achieving project goals
• Excellent written and oral communication interpersonal skills
• Experience with Agile/Scrum preferred
• Experience working in a regulated (FDA) environment with medical instrumentation preferred
• A minimum of a BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related Engineering discipline
