Title: Software Test Analyst V

 

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – 2-days onsite per week)

 

Note: This is a W2 contract role – C2C, 1099, and 3 rd party candidates will NOT be considered

 

The Software Test Analyst V will function as the Lead Testing Analyst (Software Test Analyst V), engaging Test Analysts on a daily basis while planning and coordinating the testing activities for the testing team. Additionally, they will produce reports, presentations, and meeting minutes for quality assurance testing assignments and deliverables, as required. Job duties include, but are not limited to;

 

· Preparing testing estimates for projects and maintenance support activities

· Reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on requirements or user stories and design deliverable documents to ensure the requirements and designs are testable, measurable, and adhere to standards

· Participating in project team meetings and daily standup and to provide updates on defects and testing statuses

· Providing status updates to management on testing quality of the project deliverables, test results, quality, and recommend testing best practices for improvements

· Creating test planning documents based on user requirements

· Completing test artifacts

· Executing testing data management plan activities

· Ensuring testing resources are aligned to the project schedule, budget, and tasks to complete on time

· Recording and managing defects to closure

· Executing and documenting test cases as assigned, by completing each test step using end product

· Storing testing documents in DevOps and maintaining at predetermined baseline checkpoints

· Participating in lessons learned/retrospectives, as required

· Performing functional testing, systems integration testing, and load testing, sharing results with the project team

· Preparing automated test plans

· Creating automated scripts based on test approach, specific for all environments, preferably using the Provar automation tool

· Completing sections of maintenance plan for automated test scripts, as assigned

· Performing assigned maintenance plan tasks within the automated tool

· Setting up application authentication and authorization in environments for load testing

· Conducting automated role-based testing

· Executing testing data management plan activities

 

Position Qualifications:

 

· Over 8 years’ of experience leading and reviewing QA testing, functional testing, and system integration testing, preferably for projects in the Public Health area

· Over 8 years’ of experience coordinating user acceptance testing on projects and support

· Over 5 years’ of experience maintaining test logs, defect logs, reviewing defects, and prioritizing defects for resolution

· Over 5 years of experience mentoring and guiding testing team members on testing best practices and feedback

· Over 5 years’ of experience in preparing testing closure documents, creating and sharing testing metrics, updating testing logs, ensuring priority defects are completed and projects transition to maintenance

· Over 5 years’ of experience with DevOps or relevant tools to maintain test cases and test plans

· Over 3 years’ of experience with automated testing tools, such as Provar, Selenium, Smartbear, or related tools on large projects

· A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
