Speech Language Pathologist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $57.00 per hour.
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance.
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Speech Language Pathologist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
• The required availability for this position is No on call or weekends / 32 hours guaranteed

Speech Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Conducts appropriate evaluations, assesses home environment (as appropriate), and identifies equipment needs relative to speech/language function.
• Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a Plan of Care (POC) to improve patient's function.
• Administers speech therapy program utilizing specialized therapeutic technique and/or equipment.
• Recommends communication devices/aids as indicated.
• Confers with referring physician and other staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care contributes to the total Plan of Care (POC).
• Documents the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment.
• Provide patient and family/caregiver education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independence.
• Identifies patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refers as appropriate
• May supervise home health aide in procedures directly related to the speech-language therapy Plan of Care (POC).
• As appropriate, participates in case conferences, in-services and other meetings required to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Speech Language Pathologist Requirements

• Must possess current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be CCC eligible and hold current state license as applicable - Required
• Proof of current CPR certification - Required
• Current driver's license - Required
• Must have reliable transportation and insurance - Required
• 1 year clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology - Required
• Experience in a home care environment - Preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.

Speech Language Pathologist Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Home health experience
• Prior experience with Homecare Homebased
