Speech Language Pathologist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $57.00 per hour.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Speech Language Pathologist Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
- The required availability for this position is No on call or weekends / 32 hours guaranteed
Speech Language Pathologist Responsibilities
- Conducts appropriate evaluations, assesses home environment (as appropriate), and identifies equipment needs relative to speech/language function.
- Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a Plan of Care (POC) to improve patient's function.
- Administers speech therapy program utilizing specialized therapeutic technique and/or equipment.
- Recommends communication devices/aids as indicated.
- Confers with referring physician and other staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care contributes to the total Plan of Care (POC).
- Documents the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment.
- Provide patient and family/caregiver education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independence.
- Identifies patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refers as appropriate
- May supervise home health aide in procedures directly related to the speech-language therapy Plan of Care (POC).
- As appropriate, participates in case conferences, in-services and other meetings required to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Requirements
Speech Language Pathologist Requirements
- Must possess current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be CCC eligible and hold current state license as applicable - Required
- Proof of current CPR certification - Required
- Current driver's license - Required
- Must have reliable transportation and insurance - Required
- 1 year clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology - Required
- Experience in a home care environment - Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.
Speech Language Pathologist Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Home health experience
- Prior experience with Homecare Homebased
