Job Description
- Conducts assessments/evaluations to determine individuals' levels of receptive/expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social/pragmatic skills.
- Develops, modifies, and implements individual and group therapy/treatment programs to enhance communication, address swallowing deficiencies, and prevent asphyxiation.
- Designs and delivers speech, language, and dysphagia management services, which may include hearing screenings.
- Provides training and support for individuals using hearing aids and teaches functional communication skills.
- Acts as a sign language interpreter as necessary and participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team for treatment planning.
- Composes and completes reports, lesson plans, and other program-related documents.
- Operates personal computer using office systems software and specialized communication software.
- Maintains electronic augmentative communication devices and hearing aids.
- Submissions must include: Resume, Cover Letter, RTR, CPR certification, COVID vaccine card or exemption letter, Ohio Medical License.
- If any documents are missing, the bid will be rejected and cannot be resubmitted.
- BCI fingerprinting, TB test (less than 30 days old), and drug screen must be uploaded prior to start.
- No cell phones permitted until proper paperwork has been submitted and approved.
- Must clear a metal detector; no cans, tobacco, vapes, etc. permitted.
- Food/drinks must be in clear see-through containers; no more than 1 gallon of water permitted in the facility.
- Ohio Medical License
- CPR certification
