Summary Statement

Protects digital information through safeguarding the our network, files, user accounts and other sensitive information.  Provides cyber security and cyber threat management subject matter expertise by monitoring and understanding the ever-changing threat landscape. Collaborates with business units and the IT department to ensure timely risk identification, prioritization, and mitigation of threats and vulnerabilities.

 

Essential Tasks/Major Duties
  • Partner with business to act as subject matter expert for Application and Cloud security technologies and practices to ensure compliance with cyber security & governance programs
  • Design, configure and implement IT Security controls that support the IT Architectural Strategy and protects our systems and intellectual property from intentional or accidental destruction, modification or disclosure
  • Provide in-depth technical support and monitoring for existing information security platforms and processes
  • Provide expert leadership in defense tactics, incident response and analyze security incidents to determine root cause and identify process or system changes to prevent reoccurrence. 
  • Perform threat intelligence monitoring, threat hunting and threat modeling activities for continuous protection and posture improvement
  • Perform IT security risk assessments, product and application security evaluations and provide documented results/recommendations to project leadership teams
  • Research cyber security best practices and regulatory requirements, establish policies, standards and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Develop IT security education and awareness materials/activities to improve organizational security posture, measure and report metrics to leadership.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with business customers and stakeholders, thoroughly understanding their business needs, expectations and objectives

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of seven years application and cloud security experience
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials Certified (GSEC), or Certified in Risk and Information System Control (CRISC)
  • Technically proficient with security tool sets such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners, log aggregation and analysis/SIM/SIEM, data analytics, Digital Right Management (DRM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), security intelligence, Cloud (AWS/Azure) SaaS Application Security and M365
  • Ability to manage multiple project work teams using DevSecOps agile methodology
  • Threat intelligence monitoring, threat hunting and threat modeling experience
  • Cyber incident response, containment, and mitigation experience
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
