Title: Sr. Cybersecurity Project Manager

Location: Work from Home

The Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, management, communication, coordination of status reports, and accountability of project-oriented work efforts and success of their projects across the Cybersecurity organization. This position focuses on technical cybersecurity projects related to the design, development, execution, and implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity tools, processes, systems, and software. The Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and adhere to high quality standards, meeting customer expectations. They will create scope documents based on approved charters and project plans (work breakdown structures), track key milestones, and adjust project plans, budget requests, and resources to meet the needs of customers. The Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager will be assigned to projects with multiple interdependencies, and of moderate to complex complexity, scope, risk, and impact to the business.

Essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned. Major duties include:

  • Managing projects with internal and external dependencies, moderate to large scope, risk of moderate severity & impact, integration within functional capabilities, moderate cost, and typically longer durations within more than one team of resources
  • Identifying & resolving discrepancies in planned costs versus actual cost and overall financial management for assigned projects
  • Developing and reviewing/validating multiple project plans and approving plans
  • Participating in change initiatives, including tasks and initiatives outside of specific job duties, such as BRM workgroups
  • Developing and reviewing detailed project plans and tracking financial information
  • Communicating project statuses to project team, stakeholders, leadership, and Program Managers associated with other projects
  • Advising project teams, customers, and staff on tactical solutions to dealing with barriers within a project
  • Managing active facilitation of project issue resolution, change, risk, and dependency management
  • Effectively identifying, tracking, and managing project risks and issues
  • Being accountable for project delivery, including meeting time, budget, quality standards, and customer expectations
  • Leading project meetings
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and team members in order to achieve mutual goals
  • Facilitating and managing the creation of business cases
  • Mentoring Cybersecurity Project Managers, as needed
Position Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of related work experience managing Cybersecurity projects, OR an equivalent combination of transferable experience and education within IT Projects required
  • Strong working knowledge/experience implementing Tanium and Crowdstrike tools required
  • Experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies preferred
  • Experience within the Healthcare or Financial domains preferred
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer, Mathematics, or Business-related field, OR relevant work experience required; PMP and/or CompTIA Security+ Certifications highly preferred
