As a Senior Platform Engineer within our DevOps team, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating closely with our development team to foster a culture of innovation and adaptation.
• Collaborating with fellow engineers to design, architect, and implement the next-generation internal developer platform.
• Partnering with technical leaders and their teams to facilitate seamless software deployment via GitOps.
• Continuously enhancing DevOps tooling, software installers, and delivery processes.
• Ensuring the reliability and maintenance of critical environments and toolchains, with transparent communication and prompt resolution of any internal disruptions.
• Implementing industry-standard techniques and processes to enhance developer productivity and feedback loops.
• Monitoring and enhancing the scalability and efficiency of our production environment infrastructure.
• Investigating and addressing stability, performance, and scalability challenges.

Essential Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, software engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering roles with a focus on DevOps platform engineering.
• Proficiency in managing software build infrastructure (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TravisCI, TeamForge).
• Expertise in container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Helm, Packer, and Terraform.
• Expertise in designing, maintaining, and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with system management technologies like Puppet, Ansible, Salt, or Chef.
• Experience with Microsoft and/or Linux system administration and networking.
• Experience with virtualization environments such as VMware.
• Knowledge of test-driven development, software configuration management, and automated testing.

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines for diverse software assets.
• Familiarity with Crossplane and Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).
• Experience creating and deploying VM templates at scale while tracking revisions.
