Job Description
Title: Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Work from Home
Note: This role is NOT open to C2C candidates
The Senior Quality Assurance & Test Automation Engineer will work in an Agile development environment, collaborating with Testing Excellence Team members to test, evaluate, and improve critical technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of system application testing methodologies including Integrated, Component, Functional, Automated, Performance, and User Acceptance, providing the ability to create and execute test plans and produce critical test results. Essential duties include, but are not limited to;
• Demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Demonstrating the ability to work closely with software engineers, UI/UX designers & developers, business analysts, and other Agile team members to identify and implement appropriate test plans for our software projects
• Preparing test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts to support organizational standards and practices related to software development
• Understanding testing principles related to Integrated, Component, Functional, Automated, Performance, and User Acceptance testing
• Leading test automation code reviews and providing timely, constructive feedback
• Monitoring bugs/defects and escalating, as needed, based on aging and priority
• Possessing knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile/SAFE practices
• Accepting other projects and assignments, as needed, without discord
Position Qualifications:
• 2 – 4 years of prior quality assurance engineering experience in Agile environment required
• 1+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
• 1+ years of experience with test automation using Cucumber, Selenium, or similar technology
• 1+ years of experience with Functional, End-to-End, Regression, and Load Testing
• 1+ years of experience with API Testing and Performance Testing
• 1+ years of experience with Git, TFS, SourceSafe, or similar source control systems
• 1+ years of experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban software development methods
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to diverse technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) methodologies preferred
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred
• Experience in the mortgage or financial services industries preferred
