Angular Developer
Location: Work from Home
Note: This position is NOT open to C2C Candidates;
Candidates MUST live in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, or Wisconsin to be considered

The primary focus of the Senior Web Engineer would be on developing user interface components, and implementing and executing using Angular/jQuery workflows
A custom modernized sales software platform created by the IT Solutions Delivery (ITSD) Team runs all new business and underwriting operations. The ITSD Team performs all custom application development on the new platform, including specification & design through release management and production application support. The ideal candidate to join the IT Solutions Delivery (ITSD) Team must have a keen understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and be proficient in crafting interfaces for a positive and cohesive user experience. They should also have strong experience developing applications with Java web application technology stack. The Senior Web Engineer will be responsible for:
• Providing continuous improvement and support of the custom sales platform, which processes direct to consumer (DTC) and alternate distribution new business and underwriting transactions
• Performing web development, collaborating with business architects to deliver continuous improvement of digital marketing offers, web analytics, and life insurance web applications
• Personally deliver complex life insurance-related software by individually performing hands-on coding, debugging, and testing using all technologies in place across the entire custom sales platform
• Be accountable for adhering to all architecture blueprints, ITSD internal software development policies, and other procedures, as well as enterprise standards for data security and regulatory compliance
• Contribute to the migration pathway to cloud for the entire custom sales platform
Key Position Requirements:
• 7+ years of overall software engineering experience
• 4-5 years of experience with Angular; Angular SME-level experience
• 5+ years of experience in large-scale, public-facing e-commerce web development (frontend UI)
• 2+ years of experience in Java development (back-end)
• 5+ years of experience delivering software using Agile delivery methods; an Agile mindset and a passion for innovation, Agile delivery methods, and continuous integration
• Experience with the following Computer Systems, Technologies, and Software:
   ∙ WebSphere Application Server, Jetty Web Server
   ∙ SQL, No-SQL
   ∙ Java, Spring
   ∙ Angular, CSS, HTML, jQuery, AJAX
   ∙ GIT, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related discipline; Master’s Degree in Computer Science preferred
Additional Position Requirements:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and enterprise systems thinking, specifically, the ability to see how individual systems, applications, and parts interact with the enterprise (big picture thinking)
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, applications, integration procedures, design patterns, databases, Agile delivery methods, build and deployment processes, software development, and systems engineering
• Excellent team player, with a strong ability to work effectively and build solid working relationships at all levels of the organization; ability to over-communicate while working remotely to ensure changes to work are understood by all team members/management
• Creative, open-minded, and able to work under indirect supervision
• Remote Work Qualifications:
   ∙ Candidate must have a disruption-free home office environment to work remotely
   ∙ Ability to effectively use audio and video conferencing sessions to participate and collaborate with all members of the organization throughout the workday
   ∙ Ability to constantly manage personal status and calendars using a variety of collaboration technologies (Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, WebEx, Outlook, softphone systems)
• Ability to travel onsite to work in offices located in White Plains, NY, Fremont MI, and Cincinnati, OH, if needed
• Availability to support monthly weekday evening deployments, and 24/7 availability to support Level II application production support emergencies is required
