Staff Pharmacist — Lewisville, TX (On-site)
Location: Lewisville, TX (On-site) 
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week, 8-hour shifts
Pay Rate: $60/hr

Job Summary

Cardinal Health is hiring Staff Pharmacists to support a high-volume pharmacy services operation in Lewisville, TX. This role is responsible for day-to-day pharmaceutical care, prescription verification prior to dispensing, oversight of technician workflow, and ensuring compliance with State Board of Pharmacy requirements and applicable accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day pharmaceutical care and medication management for patients
  • Review prescriptions prior to dispensing; verify and resolve questionable prescriptions
  • Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and check technician work for accuracy/compliance
  • Provide guidance on complex prescriptions, pharmacy automation systems, and order workflow issues
  • Communicate with patients, prescribers, clinics, and healthcare providers as needed
  • Ensure appropriate product storage and compliance with laws/regulations and accrediting standards (e.g., NABP)
  • Maintain required continuing education (CE) to keep licensure active
  • Assist with shipping/logistics coordination before and after orders ship as needed
  • Follow Cardinal Health and facility policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Active Texas Pharmacist license (required)
  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy (or foreign graduate meeting requirements)
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritize in a high-volume environment
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with pharmacy technology and automation/workflow systems
