Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime may be required)
Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Pay Rate: $24.45/hour
Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join a fast-paced pharmacy team in Hudson, MA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience creating TPNs using a Pinnacle compounder, hold an active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License, and be able to start immediately upon passing aseptic technique validation.
Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities:

Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications, including sterile compounds and TPNs.

Operates Pinnacle compounder equipment safely and efficiently to ensure accuracy in compounding.

Collaborates with the Billing Supervisor to enter data for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement processing.

Prepackages medications for dispensing in accordance with pharmacy standards and government regulations.

Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, staging medication for review, packaging post-review, and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to patients.

Maintains accurate inventory practices including receiving, rotating stock, documenting lot numbers, expiration dates, and assisting in physical inventory counts.

Ensures a clean, safe, and compliant work environment; checks equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

Adheres to all sterile compounding procedures, USP <797> standards, and state/federal pharmacy regulations.
Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Requirements:

Active and valid Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License required.

Experience with sterile compounding and ability to create TPNs using a Pinnacle compounder required.

Must be able to start immediately and pass aseptic technique validation prior to beginning work.
