Sterile IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Sterile IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM with rotating start and end times based on workload

Sterile IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile IV medications in a clean room environment under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Fill prescriptions and assist in preparing medications for dispensing according to regulatory standards
• Enter prescription and billing data into the computer system to support reimbursement processing
• Assist Pharmacist with final checking by staging, stating medications for review, and packaging post-review
• Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers
• Support inventory practices including receiving supplies, stock rotation, posting lot numbers, and monitoring expiration dates
• Assist with prepackaging medications in compliance with regulations and company standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including equipment calibration, safety checks, and cleanliness

Sterile IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician Requirements

• Sterile IV compounding experience is REQUIRED
• Experience working in an IV clean room environment
• Ability to work under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict sterile procedures
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Sterile IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings
• Familiarity with pharmacy billing systems and reimbursement processes
