Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Sterilization Specialist 1 to join a leading team in a high-demand, regulated environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, preparing product for sterilization, and supporting the daily operations within the sterilization department. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential.

Sterilization Specialist 1 Schedule & Location:

• Shift: 1st Shift – Days (6AM – 6PM)

• Rotation: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, etc.

• Mandatory work during July/December shutdowns

• Location: Sandy UT 84070 United States

Sterilization Specialist 1 Salary/Wage:

• $20.50 per hour (Paid weekly)

Sterilization Specialist 1 Duties:

• Operate forklifts, stretch wrappers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

• Prepare product for sterilization including staging and adding spores.

• Verify production transfers, delivery records, and packing slips.

• Load/unload shipments, follow FIFO and Kanban systems.

• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist maintenance when needed.

• Maintain a clean and compliant work area following all safety and quality procedures.

• Respond to ethylene oxide emergencies as needed.

Sterilization Specialist 1 Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of warehouse/material handling experience (or 2 years internal experience).

• Proven experience operating forklifts and handling equipment.

• Strong communication, computer, and math skills.

• Mechanically inclined with ability to support minor equipment repairs.

Sterilization Specialist 1 Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically and mentally capable of wearing a full-face respirator and gas mask.

• Must pass an annual physical exam and respirator fit test.

Sterilization Specialist 1 Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
