Surgical Technician – First Assist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $50-$55 per hour based on experience.
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Surgical Technician – First Assist Highlights

• The required availability for this position is day shift.
• Monday through Friday
• On-Call: 1 week night/week and every 5th weekend, possibly a holiday
• No Floating requirements

Surgical Technician – First Assist Responsibilities

• Assisting with positioning patients on the operating table.
• Preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring all necessary tools are available.
• Handling and passing instruments, sutures, and other items to the surgeon during the procedure.
• Managing and controlling surgical tools, ensuring they are maintained sterile throughout the operation.
• Assisting with suturing and closing incisions after the procedure is complete.
• Monitoring patient vital signs and anesthesia during surgery, under the guidance of the surgical team.
• Anticipating the surgeon’s needs and responding quickly to changes during the procedure.
• Ensuring proper handling and disposal of surgical waste.
• Maintaining a sterile environment and following safety protocols to minimize infection risks.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• Certified SA - required
• 2 years experience - required
