Job Description
- Counsel and educate patients on specialty drug therapies, including medication adherence, symptom management, and adverse events.
- Assess patient symptoms, provide nursing education, and offer clinical guidance over the phone.
- Discuss potential and current side effects, supporting ongoing therapy adherence.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with federal HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacy support teams to ensure timely and accurate drug delivery.
- Complete thorough documentation utilizing industry standards and regulations.
- Support patient management programs through call schedules, medication management, and provider collaboration.
Critical Information
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, occasional Saturdays
- Work environment: Hybrid, onsite twice weekly (Wednesday or flexible)
- Remote/on-site/hybrid: Hybrid - Onsite twice weekly required
- Willingness to attend onsite training for 3-4 weeks followed by onsite two days per week
Education/Licenses Needed
- Registered Nurse with current unrestricted compact state license or primary NC licensure
- Associates, Bachelor, or higher degree in Nursing or accredited nursing diploma
- Ability to obtain licensing in all states and territories serviced within 3 months
- 4+ years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in oncology, acute, inpatient, or specialty care preferred
