Job Description
Med Surg Tele RN (Night Shift) — Telemetry Registered Nurse
Location: Lincoln, IL (Onsite)
Schedule: Nights | 3x12s | 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Pay: $54/hr
Summary and Responsibilities
- Hire for a Med Surg Tele RN / MS Tele RN to support adult acute care patients on a Med/Surg + Telemetry unit
- Provide direct patient care: assessments, vitals, ongoing monitoring, and timely escalation of condition changes
- Perform telemetry monitoring and rhythm observation per unit standards; communicate abnormalities to the care team
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary teams to execute patient care plans and discharge readiness
- Document care, assessments, and interventions in Cerner (EHR/charting) with strong accuracy and timeliness
- Float as needed based on staffing/census
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
Qualifications and Skills
- Active Illinois RN license (required)
- Recent Med Surg / Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse experience (required)
- Comfortable managing multiple patients, prioritizing care, and working independently on nights
- Telemetry competency and familiarity with cardiac monitoring workflows
- Strong documentation skills; Cerner experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only per facility guidelines)
