Job Description:

We are looking to fill four (4) Temp Chemo Nurse positions across three locations.

As a Temp Chemo Nurse, you will be responsible for performing thorough physical assessments of patients to establish baselines and identify any changes in health status. You will administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under the supervision of a physician. Additionally, you will assess and monitor therapy of patients using appropriate technical skills and reviewing pertinent laboratory data.

You will also coordinate patient care with both internal and external entities to ensure seamless treatment and support, while educating patients and their families about treatment plans, potential side effects, and strategies for managing symptoms to promote understanding and adherence. Furthermore, you will triage patient calls regarding treatment and symptom management, providing timely interventions and support.

Schedule & Locations:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location 1 – San Antonio, TX 78217 (1 position)

Location 2 – San Antonio, TX 78212 (1 position)

Location 3 – San Antonio, TX 78240 (2 positions)

Duration: Minimum 3 months

Salary/Wage:

$38.00 - $43.00 per hour (Pay is strictly based on years of experience and qualifications).

Final pay rates will be approved before offers are made.

Required Qualifications:

1-2 years of nursing experience
Chemo experience is REQUIRED and NON-NEGOTIABLE
Chemo certification is NOT required, but candidates must have knowledge of how to hang chemotherapy

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs if necessary.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for patient care.

Education:

Active RN license in the state of Texas
