Job Title: Travel- Float Pool: Med Surg/ Step Down RN
Location site: Oklahoma City OK 73104 (Must live 50 miles from Oklahoma City)

Weekly Hours 36 hr/week
Number of Shifts per week: 3 shifts per week

Shift: 7:30pm-7:30am Nights
Pay: $2,220.00- $2,340.00 weekly
Pay Schedule: Weekly

Travel- Float Pool: Med Surg/ Step Down RN Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Frequent vital signs monitoring

• Cardiac monitoring, including interpreting rhythms

• Neurological assessments if applicable

• Monitoring and titrating IV drips

• Wound care, dressing changes

• Post-op care and observation

• Pain management

• Administering IV/PO/IM medications

• Starting IVs, managing central lines or PICCs

• Assisting with bedside procedures or preparing patients for tests

• Managing oxygen therapy, sometimes BiPAP or CPAP

• Accurate and timely charting in the EMR

• Reporting changes in patient status to providers

• Coordinating care with RT, PT/OT, case managers, and doctors

• Giving detailed shift reports to incoming RNs

• Educating patients and families on conditions, meds, and discharge plans

• Providing emotional support during a stressful recovery period

Travel- Float Pool: Med Surg/ Step Down RN Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) Oklahoma State License
• Minimum 2 years Med Surg / Float Pool nursing experience required
• Must have 1 year working for a Level 1 trauma hospital required
• Must live 50 miles from Oklahoma City location to qualify for local travel pay
• Current BLS and ACLS
