Casts, Splints & Braces Specialist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $22 per hour.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
- This position is a 6-month contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, flexibility between 6:30am–6:30pm
- Primary location is Pearland, TX, with PRN travel to nearby clinics as needed
- Prepare, apply, remove, and adjust casts and splints under physician direction
- Assist with orthopedic procedures including wound care and fracture reductions
- Fit and apply orthopedic appliances and DME (braces, crutches, soft goods)
- Take measurements for custom brace fittings
- Educate patients on cast care, brace use, and safe mobility
- Prepare traction equipment and maintain proper setup
- Maintain and stock cast room supplies; order DME as needed
- Support billing data collection for specialty equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and practice positive patient interactions
- Support continuous quality improvement and teamwork
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Expertise in casting, splinting, and brace materials/equipment
- Cast experience is required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- Prior hospital, clinic, or medical practice experience (1+ year)
- Experience with clinic operations
