Job Title: Immunizing Pharmacist (Vaccination Initiative)
Location: Wareham, MA 02538 (home store)
Schedule: Sunday–Saturday | 10:00 AM–6:00 PM | Must be highly flexible based on store needs and offer at least 3 days of availability. The more flexible the availability the more hours will be given.
Pay: $63/hr
Start Date: No starts permitted before 8/23/2026
Summary
Now hiring an Immunizing Pharmacist for a high-demand vaccination initiative. This is a patient-facing role supporting immunizations in a retail/community pharmacy setting. The most successful candidates are highly flexible, detail-driven, and comfortable floating to other local stores as needed. This Immunizing Pharmacist opportunity requires complete, specific questionnaire answers and strong compliance habits to avoid submission delays or rejection.
Responsibilities
- Administer immunizations (e.g., flu, COVID, shingles) according to protocol and current guidelines
- Provide patient counseling and education in a clear, professional manner
- Document vaccine administration accurately and consistently
- Support pharmacy workflow, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain focus on patient safety, inventory controls, and loss prevention best practices
- Float to other stores in the area when requested (some locations may be up to ~1 hour from the home store)
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Massachusetts Pharmacist license
- Current immunization certification (e.g., APhA or equivalent)
- PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Strong customer service and patient-facing communication skills
- Ability to work onsite and be flexible across days/hours as business needs change
- License and certification readiness: If your Pharmacist license or BLS/CPR (if applicable) expires before 12/31/2026, you must be able to provide a clear renewal timeline before submission
- Must be ready to accept an offer if extended (do not apply if you are not ready to proceed)
Mileage / Travel Notes
- Candidates should expect to float.
- Mileage reimbursement applies only when traveling from the home store to another store and back if the roundtrip exceeds 50 miles/day (only miles over 50 are reimbursable).
- Parking/tolls may be reimbursed case-by-case with district approval.
