Job Description
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE JOB SUMMARY:
- Patient Care: Assist patients with their health needs, including conducting basic medical examinations, measuring vital signs, and recording patient history.
- Administration of Medication: Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documenting patient interactions and treatments provided.
- Support to Providers: Assist nurse practitioners and physicians with clinical tasks and procedures.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on health management, medication instructions, and preventive care.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform basic clinical procedures such as wound care, specimen collection, and diagnostic testing (e.g., blood pressure, blood sugar levels).
- Coordination of Care: Coordinate patient care by communicating with other healthcare providers and ensuring continuity of care.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Start Date: Oct 2024
- Up to 38 hours weekly
- 10-hour shifts during the week (8:30a-7:30p) + 7-8 hour shifts every other weekend (Sat & Sun, 9:30a-5:30p)
- A typical work week will be two or three weekdays and every other weekend.
- This position also requires working on some major holidays.
- May require floating to other nearby locations
- The compensation for this role is $33 per hour
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST have an active Licensed Practical Nurse License in the State of IN
- 1-year of experience in a hospital, medical office/clinic or urgent care setting required
- Phlebotomy skills and use of EMR
- BLS Certification required
