Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/week)
Target start: September 7, 2026
Salary: $275,000 - $295,000
Overview
A rapidly growing, highly regulated healthcare/pharmaceutical organization is hiring a Vice President of Operations to join the executive leadership team and lead day-to-day operations plus long-term operational strategy. This role will drive excellence across manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, inventory, facilities, and operational planning, while ensuring strong regulatory compliance.
What you’ll do
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute operational strategy, goals, KPIs, and dashboards
- Lead long-term capacity planning and scaling initiatives
- Identify and execute efficiency improvements and cost reduction opportunities
- Oversee regulated manufacturing/production operations to meet quality, safety, and productivity goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and standard operating procedures
- Lead procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and fulfillment optimization
- Partner with Quality/Regulatory leaders to maintain inspection readiness; support audits/inspections
- Hire, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing operational leaders (Directors/Managers)
- Manage operational budgets and performance against financial objectives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Supply Chain, Business, or related)
- 15+ years progressive operations leadership experience
- 7+ years leading managers/directors
- Background in an FDA-regulated environment (pharma, specialty pharmacy, biotech, medical devices, etc.)
- Strong understanding of cGMP and quality systems
- Proven success scaling operations in growth-oriented organizations
- Budget ownership and strong operational performance management
Preferred qualifications
- MBA and/or advanced scientific degree
- 503B outsourcing facility experience (or similar)
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent)
- Facility expansions, automation initiatives, and/or startup operations experience
- Experience preparing organizations for FDA inspections
