Forklift Operator Compensation
- $23.00 per hour paid biweekly
- Benefits available after 90 days of employment
- 401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service (on eligibility dates)
Forklift Operator Highlights
- On-site position in Canaan, CT 06018
- Contract assignment (based on attendance, performance and business needs)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (C Crew)
- Alternating schedule
- Week 1: Mon / Tue / Fri / Sat / Sun
- Week 2: Wed / Fri
- (Repeats every two weeks)
Forklift Operator Responsibilities
- Operate material-handling equipment (including forklifts) to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods within the facility
- Follow clearly defined SOPs and quality guidelines
- Complete routine, process-driven tasks with attention to safety and accuracy
- Maintain basic records/documentation as needed
- Work effectively with team members and lead/supervisor communication expectations
- Perform in a metrics-driven warehouse environment
Forklift Operator Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Forklift operator experience
- 0–1 year of warehouse or related experience/training (or equivalent exposure)
- Ability to read, write, and understand documents written in English
- Basic math skills and general computer skills
- Ability to work on-site and reliably meet the required schedule
- Attendance is mandatory during the first 90 days
- Ability to perform physical job demands that may include: walking/standing, stooping/kneeling, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching/grasping, and repetitive hand/wrist motion (reasonable accommodations may be available)
Forklift Operator Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in material handling, logistics, or manufacturing warehouse operations
- Prior experience working under SOP/regulated quality guidelines
- Any current/previous equipment certifications or training (as applicable)
