Warehouse Material Handler | Details and Compensation:

• Location: Canaan, CT 06018 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $23/hr
• Required Availability: 1st Shift | 7 AM - 7 PM

Warehouse Material Handler | Summary and Highlights:

The Warehouse Material Handler will be responsible for handling materials using various equipment and ensuring smooth warehouse operations.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Warehouse Material Handler | Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and movement of goods.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to quality guidelines.
• Work under general to limited supervision to complete assigned tasks.
• Perform tasks that require physical activity, including lifting and moving items over 50 lbs.
• Work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures and loud noise levels.

Warehouse Material Handler | Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Verifiable).
• 1 year of warehouse experience or related training.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents in English.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and vibrations.
• Perform tasks that require physical activity, including lifting and moving items over 50 lbs.
• Occasionally working at heights and around airborne particles.
• No air conditioning in summer and limited heating in winter.
• Moderate to loud noise levels in the facility.
