Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $65.00–$70.00 per hour.
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Pharmacist Highlights

• This position is part-time, weekend-only.
• Required availability: Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Temporary position through February 2024, offering 20–30 hours per week.

Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriate drug usage, dosage, potential interactions, and administration methods.
• Maintain patient/resident databases, including medical history and medication records.
• Ensure appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered and evaluated.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support.
• Document all communications with healthcare staff, patients, and families in the medical record.
• Implement safe practices for procuring, storing, distributing, and disposing of drugs.
• Address medication-related errors with the Pharmacy Manager.
• Provide guidance to staff on medication procurement and administration procedures.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Pharmacist Requirements

• Active and valid Connecticut Pharmacist License.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care or institutional settings.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Detail-oriented and goal-driven with strong communication skills.
