A-Line Staffing is now hiring Wound Care LVNs in San Antonio, TX. The Wound Care LVN would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Wound Care LVN Compensation
- The pay for this position is $23-$25 per hour (depends on experience)
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Wound Care LVN Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Wound Care LVN Responsibilities
- Provides general nursing care to patients.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids physician during examination and procedures.
- Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
- Administers prescribed medications as directed.
- Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of specimen samples for testing.
- Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
- Performs EKG and oximetry readings as required by physician.
- Obtains blood specimens from peripheral sites as needed and in accordance with OSHA and universal precautions.
- Phones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as required or directed by physicians.
- Maintains patient files, records, and other information.
- Initiate IV fluids and IV therapeutic medications in accordance with LPN/LVN state nurse practice act
Wound Care LVN Requirements
- 1+ years’ LVN experience involving wound care
- Active LVN or LPN license for the state of TX (or multistate)
- Strong clinical and/or hospital experience (not LTC/Long Term Care)
- Active BLS/CPR certification
- Graduate certification for practical nursing
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Wound Care LVN Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience as an LVN/LPN
- Phlebotomy experience is a plus
