Job Description:
We are looking for an X-Ray Technologist to join our team at the Med Center in Houston, TX. This role involves working directly with patients and providers to perform imaging procedures and ensure high standards of care.

X-Ray Technologist Schedule & Location:

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Location: Med Center, Houston, TX, 77030  – Easily accessible by Metro transit

X-Ray Technologist Salary/Wage:

• Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications

X-Ray Technologist Duties:

• Educate patients on procedures in a calm and courteous manner
• Prepare equipment and patient rooms for use
• Position and monitor patients during imaging exams
• Submit images to providers for review
• Ensure safety of patients and equipment at all times
• Administer targeted doses of radiation as needed
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment as required

X-Ray Technologist Required Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an accredited JRCERT program in Radiologic Technology
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license from the Texas Department of State Health Services
  • ARRT certification in Radiography
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association

X-Ray Technologist Preferred Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science from a JRCERT-accredited program in Diagnostic Imaging or Radiologic Technology
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Certification in Bone Densitometry (CBDT) or ARRT certification in Bone Densitometry Equipment Operation
• Experience:
  • Two years of radiology experience preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR

X-Ray Technologist Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with radiologic imaging
